7 Fitness Routines That Will Transform Your Life

We need to remain fit. The most marvelous thing about humans is that we are all different from each other; everyone is unique in so many ways at the physical level, mental level, emotional level, and spiritual level. So, it is important to learn about us, how to stay fit and healthy. Good health is one of the priorities of our lives because it is our “Swadharma”. If we are fit and healthy, it is our responsibility to avoid the miseries of sickness and pain. Maharashi Patanjali advises - “Hayam dukkamanagatam” this sutra comes in the second chapter of Patanjali's Yoga Sutra; it is number 16. The pain that is yet to come could be avoided. The important point that is maintained here is that we should live in the present so that you can avoid any suffering that may come to you. Now you may ask, "How can I live like this?" You have so many choices every day about how you should live, and while doing so, you should be mindful of your age, your limitations, and your behavior with others.

1. If you are normal and healthy person ones in a month, observe a fruit day and eat only fruits to give rest to your digestive system and improve your metabolism. Depending on the season, there are a variety of fruits available. Fruits are easily digestible and generate energy and alertness.

2. Water is most important element because your body is made up of roughly 60% water Experts always advise you to drink sufficient water every day. If you want to spice up this habit, drink warm water twice a day with a pinch of salt and lemon. This will detox your system naturally at regular intervals.

3. To be fit and active, we have to be active and use our muscular and skeletal systems. Once a day, practice yogasanas, which stretch your spine in 6 different ways: upward, sideward bending, forward and backward bending, twisting, and inversion. These asanas strengthen the muscles of your spine and improve your posture.

4. Breathe twice a day, sit or stand with your shoulders relaxed, and then inhale for three counts and exhale for three counts. Practice four rounds of this breathing rhythm. This kind of breathing is called "equal breathing," and it has the power to dramatically change your emotional state by inducing calmness within seconds.

5. Take a break from the constant chatter of your mind for 10 minutes every day by sitting comfortably in a quiet place, preferably in open nature. Close your eyes, make your spine strong, relax your shoulders, and passively observe your breathing. You will notice that your breathing will become more rhythmic, and your mind will relax gradually.

6. In your daily schedule make it a point to give 10 minutes every day take care of a potted plant, decorate your windows, or experiment with a new recipe. This will rejuvenate your whole being, and you will find more creative ways to express yourself.

7. Once a week involve yourself in some selfless voluntary activity like helping the elderly, cooking food for someone who is sick, or teaching underprivileged children. If you look around, you will find plenty of such opportunities. This will help you develop empathy for other people and definitely make you a better person.
