While filming his National Geographic adventure docuseries Limitless, Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth discovered something concerning his health that has him concerned about his future. The Thor star took regular testing while filming Disney plus's current series, which indicated he is at an elevated risk of acquiring Alzheimer's. Chris claimed in a recent interview with Vanity Fair that he learned about the "warning" during an episode of the show. In response, the actor stated that what he learned was "my worst nightmare." During a recent interview with the magazine, the actor revealed that he carries two copies of the APOE4 gene, which has been linked to an elevated risk of Alzheimer's disease in certain studies.

While discussing the revelation of his health issue, the Thorstar stressed that it does not imply he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, nor does it indicate he would definitely get the ailment. However, the discovery is still cause for alarm. The actor confessed in his interview that he is "eight to ten times more likely" to get the illness. "My worry was that I didn't want to twist it, overdramatize it, and turn it into some sort of corny try at empathy, or whatever, for entertainment," Chris told Vanity Fair. "I haven't been handed my resignation."

Chris went on to say that the news didn't surprise him because his grandfather had Alzheimer's disease. He stated that the revelation drove him to confront his own mortality. "Most of us want to avoid talking about mortality," Chris continued. Then, all of a sudden, we're told that certain major signs are pointing to this being the path that will be taken, and the reality of it hits in. "Your own demise."

Meanwhile, Chris was most recently seen in Thor: Love and Thunder. Following that, the actor will appear in Sam Hargrave's action thriller sequel, Extraction 2, that is to be released in theatres next year. In addition, Chris possesses George Miller's action adventure, Furiosa.
